"The Cushion-like Androsace" ( Androsace tapete ) is a perennial herb belonging to the Primulaceae family, specifically the Androsace genus. Its plant form is a hemispherical, compact cushion composed of numerous tightly packed short root-borne branches. It is primarily distributed in southern Xinjiang, southern Gansu, Qinghai, western Sichuan, northwestern Yunnan, and Tibet in China, as well as in Nepal. It typically grows at altitudes between 3500 and 5000 meters on gravelly mountain slopes, river valley terraces, and gentle mountaintops.
